Tell us a little about Seven Autumn Leaves?

Seven Autumn Leaves blog started as a space to talk about seven different creative fields I was interested in including fashion, design, music and more. Now, four years later, it's only focused on just fashion, lifestyle and travel. Why did you start Blogging? I had a friend who had moved away and she started a blog so I found that such a great way to stay in contact with her and just see what she's up to. There weren't that many blogs back then either so I found it really exciting that I could use that platform as a creative outlet while I was still at uni.

Does living in a city like Melbourne inspire your work? If so how?

Ofcourse. Melbourne's vibe is very different from any city I've been in. Personally I love the fact that I get to enjoy autumn fashion (hence the blog name) and it's something I take advantage of since I grew up in Dubai and I never had a chance to really wear any coats or layers. It's also a very creative city filled with buzzing and inspired people which in turn inspires you to work harder and follow your passions. I know you’re living in Dubai at the moment how does it comapare to Melbourne? I'm in Dubai for 3 months before I go to Europe. I'm only a month in and I'm already homesick missing little pieces of comfort from Melbourne like going out to one of the many trendy cafes with friends and just being in that buzzing creative

environment; that always drives me to work harder, explore new possibilities and try something new.

Describe your style in 3 words?

I would say even though at times I like to change things up and be adventurous, my style is mostly elegant but with a young twist. Like I mentioned earlier I have a love affair with coats and more earthy and dark tones like grey, black, camel, and white.

Take us through a normal day of a fashion blogger? I don't really blog full time but usually I'm always open to inspirations and things that make me excited to write a post about or click some shots to feature on the blog; Instagram is a great platform for that. I'm more of the 'bedroom blogger' I usually get struck by inspiration to blog at nights and end up staying up late nights editing photos and posting.

I see you’ve recently went to Melbourne Fashion Festival. What was your highlight from fashion week? It's always great to be part of fashion festivals in Melbourne. My highlights were catching up with familiar faces in the industry and meeting some new ones as well. The graduate showcase was my favourite; it was very different from other shows and it was great to be there when these young new designers made their debut showing us their creations.

Blogging seems to be quite popular these days. What advice would you give to aspiring fashion bloggers?

I would say first and foremost do it for the right reasons. If you just want it to be a way to gain popularity and get followers and gifts from brands people will see right through it. Do it for yourself and be consistent and true to yourself, the rest will follow. And even if it doesn't, it's still rewarding and quite therapeutic to share your thoughts and personality on your own platform. If I could work with any designer it would be? There are a lot of designers who are inspiring and passionate in their own right so it's quite difficult to only choose one; I think it's circumstantial. I would love to collaborate with young new designers as their passions and outlooks would be quite fresh and inspired.
